In a perfect world a brave film producer would drop several million dollars in my lap (along with final cut) and let me turn my screenplays into the kind of feature films you’ve never seen before.
Thankfully, the world is not perfect. So I make films with the resources I have. I try to push the envelope to see where I can take the medium.
I finished my first feature film. It’s based on a film and a story. I figure pushing the two forms together might produce an interesting result. A literary film.
The idea of making a standard feature film with movie stars and shot, reverse shot holds about as much appeal as drilling my eyes out. I don’t know why I need to do things differently.
I don’t know why I want to see things differently.
