George Brandis

Boscutti Report - Brandis weeps in his final speech

CANBERRA  (Boscutti Report) — Former Attorney General George Brandis openly wept as he gave his final speech to the Senate before he heads off to a new role as Australia’s High Commissioner to the UK.

Mr Brandis spoke at length about being raised a ’white privileged male in a patriarchal society trying to make ends meet as a poor Queen’s Counsel’.

‘There were days when I settle for a 1994 Penfolds Grange,’ he said.

‘Being a Liberal is not easy.’
