Shorten supporters try to arrest Melbourne’s mayor

Stefano Boscutti - Shorten supporters try to arrest Melbourne’s mayor

MELBOURNE (Boscutti Report) — An anti-Business unionist wheeled a homemade gallows into central Melbourne, led a group of men in orange safety vests into the Melbourne Town Hall and attempted to ‘arrest’ the city's mayor.

The group failed, and was eventually escorted out by the same police officers they had asked to apprehend Lord Mayor Robert Doyle. They accused Mr Doyle of treachery, tyranny and disrespecting Labor Leader Bill Shorten.

Mr Doyle was meeting with his public relations team in another building at the time and was unavailable for comment.
