SYDNEY (Boscutti Report) — Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has enjoyed a boost in popularity against Opposition Leader Bill Shorten.
A recent poll placed Mr Turnbull above Mr Shorten as favoured Prime Minister following his lead in an amateur production of the musical, “The Music Man”.
An amateur theatre critic said Mr Turnbull brought pep and vitality to the role of Harold Hill, a fast-talking traveling con man who convinces the locals to start a band by purchasing the uniforms and instruments from him.
‘Everyone in the audience was clapping and singing along,’ he said.
‘It was a sight to behold.’
