Boscutti Report - Turnbull says postal survey could decide future of monarchy

SYDNEY (Boscutti Report) — Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has flagged another postal survey as a way of answering whether Australia should overthrow the monarchy, citing the ‘success’ of the marriage equality survey as proof it could finally decide the issue.

‘Of course, the issue of removing the Queen will be paramount,’ he said.

‘But if you’re asking me how I would go about it, I think the first thing you would need to do is have an honest, open discussion about how the means of execution should be decided.’

‘Whether it’s a guillotine or a firing squad should be up to the people of Australia.’
