Boscutti Report - Turnbull uses cardboard cutout to avoid tricky questions

SYDNEY (Boscutti Report) — Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, known for his untemperamental outbursts, has adopted a unique tactic to encourage tricky questions from reporters — leave a cardboard cutout of himself for reporters to quiz.

But the gesture has been criticised by Human Rights Watch which said it shows the leader’s ‘contempt of media criticism’ since his 2015 coup of the Liberal Party.

Seventeen life-sized cutouts of Turnbull have been set up around the city ahead of Children’s Day on Saturday. They show Turnbull in various outfits including sportswear, work suits and traditional Australian attire.

A spokesman said it was to give Turnbull more personality and ‘lift his profile.’
