It’s so easy to dilute our communications or confuse our identity with mixed messaging. Especially now with the plethora of media available.
It’s not our fault. We’re overwhelmed and we’re trying to cover all the bases with (probably) shrinking resources. Everyone wants us to do more with less. Our communications are at best skittish, at worst a smoldering pile.
Once we align our communications for consistency we’ll feel the pressure of trying to be all things to all people disappear.
It will be replaced by a sense of purpose and commitment. We’ll be happier and we’ll produce better work.
