Emotions first

The emotional option is inherently the first thought in the mind.

As a second thought, our minds sometimes switch to the logical option.

It’s evolution. Emotions are more rooted in our minds than logic because emotions were established long, long before logic.

We don’t have to be a brain surgeon to know that brain tissue related to emotion is closer to the base or center of the brain while logic-pertaining tissue is generally in the outer layers, specifically in the caudal area.

During humans’ biological and physiological development, this prefrontal cortex area was the last region to develop. Synaptic reorganization takes place most predominantly during childhood and adolescence.

Most neurologists agree that the prefrontal cortex is not fully developed until around the age of 25.
