Google’s dirty little secret

Web search numbers have been plunging for the past three years.

Thanks to social platforms like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, people are getting used to connecting directly with whatever they’re looking for. And (if it’s interesting enough) allow that media into their lives as a feed.

People are going to Google less and less. There’s nothing there for them except a time sink. It’s smarter and faster to go direct.
