Stop calling them customers

It doesn’t do you any good to think of the people who’s attention your vying for as customers.

Calling them clients doesn’t help. Nor does referring to them as consumers. People are so much more than economic units or impersonal marketing rhetoric.

If you see them as numbers or demographics, you’ll treat them as such. See them as brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, lovers, friends.

Reach out and help them.
