Scenes from the city: Jet black crow
It claws and pecks at the hinged lid on the plastic rubbish bin.
It manages to snatch a recessed handle and pull the lid open. Flaps and dances to land on top of the thick plastic bag of rubbish stuffed inside, clutching tight.
It shivers its head, caws loudly. Then slices its razor-sharp beak across the plastic bag, disembowelling the contents.
Eyes gleaming in delight.
